Issue 246 End of December 2019, The Wine Advocate | 30th Dec 2019 | Luis Gutiérrez
There is yet one more single-vineyard bottling in 2017, the 2017 Terreras, sold exclusively through Vila Viniteca in Barcelona. It's from 4,000 square meters on a west-facing slope in the village of Elvillar (which, depending on the year, is used to contribute to Pagos Viejos or Viñas de Gaín). This plot delivers wines with some rusticity and character, with fennel and aromatic herbs that give it a fresh twist. The palate is medium-bodied, with more tannins than Valdeginés.
