Eine Neuentdeckung aus dem Bierzo. Dies ist eine Mencia-Perle zum absolut fairen Preis. Ein Kleinstprojekt von Diego Magana. Es werden nur gerade 2000 Flaschen abgefüllt. 14-monatige Fassreifung in 500l-Fuder französischer Herkunft.

The second vintage, the 2015 Dominio de Anza Finca El Rapolao comes from the same single west-facing plot in the El Rapolao zone of the village of Valtuille de Abajo, where this year he purchased all the grapes after a test in 2014. It fermented with 90% full clusters in stainless steel, and then matured in used 500-liter French oak barrels until bottling. It's aromatic and fresh, harvested early (the 2nd of September) to avoid the heat of the vintage, and the bottled wine is 13.2% alcohol. It has a floral character that I liked very much. The palate is medium-bodied, nicely textured, elegant, with very fine tannins and a clean, focused finish.
