Eine Neuentdeckung aus dem Bierzo. Dies ist eine Mencia-Perle zum absolut fairen Preis. Ein Kleinstprojekt von Diego Magana. Es werden nur gerade 4700 Flaschen abgefüllt. 8-monatige Fassreifung.

The 2015 Dominio de Anza Selección de Parcelas is produced with grapes from a number of plots in different zones within three villages of Bierzo, with a diversity of soils, expositions and different field blends, but Mencía-based. The plots are fermented separately, some in stainless steel, open-top barrels and oak vats with indigenous yeasts, then aged separately in used oak barrels and then blended. It's subtle, a little closed (it was very recently bottled), reticent, slowly opening up to wild berry and violet aromas. The palate had some grainy tannins, subdued minerality that provides a beautiful texture and a very tasty finish. It's surprisingly fresh for the conditions of the year.
