The Pinot Noir of three single-vineyard bottlings in the new Ars Collecta series is the 2009 Ars Collecta Finca El Tros Nou Gran Reserva, which feels more balanced and transparent with a lower dosage (it was 12 grams in the initial 2007 and around seven now). It was aged for no less than 90 months in bottle before it was disgorged. It's smoky, leesy and with a hint of mushroom and forest floor. The palate revealed abundant, small bubbles that made it nicely textured.
